Living up to the hype, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Boss’ opened to good response in both multiplexes and single screens on its opening day. Though it was not an official holiday in India for everyone, the movie witnessed around 80-90% occupancy in the single screens and 65-75% occupancy in multiplexes. As per early estimates, the domestic box office collection of ‘Boss’ on its first day is around 13 crores, the second highest opening for Akshay Kumar movie. The film did not surpass the opening collection of Prabhudheva directed Rowdy Rathore which is deemed to be the highest opening for any Akshay Kumar film so far.
The collection of Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Besharam’ doomed during weekdays and it couldn’t add any significant figure to its total collection. As per estimates, the total domestic box office collection of ‘Besharam’ in its first extended week is around 53.50 crores which is far less than the expected figure. From Monday-Thursday, the movie added only 8 crores to its collection.
The brand new poster of Akki starrer ‘Boss’ is out now. It looks like the Boss team is not leaving any stone unturned for the promotion of the movie. Directed by Anthony D’Souza, ‘Boss’ is slated to be released on 16th October. The movie features Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari and Ronit Roy in lead roles and is a remake of Malayalam movie 'Pokkiri Raja' starring Mammotty, Prithviraj and Shriya Saran.

Besharam did show some improvement in the collection on Sunday, but it was too small to add any significant figure to the total collection. As per early estimate, the movie collected around 7.25 crores on Sunday taking its total domestic box office collection to 45.50 crores in its extended first weekend.
Besharam ,the latest offering from director Abhinav Kashyap and actor Ranbir Kapoor, remained nonchalant on its first Saturday. Though it was expected that the collection of the movie will not skyrocket on Saturday or Sunday, a reasonable growth would have saved the face of the movie. As per early estimates, the total collection on Saturday is around 5.85 crores which takes its net domestic box office collection to around 38.25 crores.
In spite of having deadly commercial combo of director (Abhinav Kashyap) and actor (Ranbir Kapoor), ‘Besharam’ could not live upto the expectations of the moviegoers. The dropping box office collection indicates the sheer dislike of the content by the paying junta. As per the trade inputs, the collection of Besharam fell further on its first Friday and the movie added just 5.75 crores to its collection which now stands at 32.50 crores after 3 days.
As expected, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Besharam' couldn't keep its momentum intact on the second day and fell like ninepins. It could be termed as total devastation as far as the collection on day 2 is concerned. As per early estimate, the total domestic collection on its second day is around 7.25 crores. The drop in collection on second day is more than 60%.
